RE: Reaction ARF - All-Composite Sport Jet

Something just occurred to me:

I have Hitecs on my flaps as well. They are wyed together, with one of the servos programmed in reverse. For some reason I had my programmer plugged into one and...

RE: Reaction ARF - All-Composite Sport Jet

Perhaps a reversal of that channel-had to be stalled for a while to cook them like that. The hinged surfaces just don't put up a lot of resistance. Another thought is if you trimmed the flaps too...

RE: Reaction ARF - All-Composite Sport Jet

Mike,

A P-80 would be just fine for it - as I stated, I'm flying with a Merc SP, rated at about 20#, but heavier turbine, so more nose weight.

I haven't tried it off grass, but have no...

RE: Reaction ARF - All-Composite Sport Jet

I've got to be WAY over 25 pounds dry - I've got an old AMT mercury (SP, I think-20# thrust) in mine and it flies great! Not ballistic, sure, but fast enough. I can cruise most of the flight at 1/3...

RE: Reaction ARF - All-Composite Sport Jet

I did it just like the man said - the old finger method... But, it was hard to estimate the range at the tips accurately, especially when you have 1 cm margin - that's why the string and marking the...

RE: Reaction ARF - All-Composite Sport Jet

This is way too complicated, but worked great in the field -

What I/we did was to mark the range of the CG on the wing by writing on masking tape. I did this with the wing off to get an...

RE: Reaction ARF - All-Composite Sport Jet

I have to echo everyone's statements about how well the plane was packed and how easy it went together - about 30 hours build time, on the high side.

A word of caution though - Everyone...

RE: Reaction ARF - All-Composite Sport Jet

Got an AMT Mercury SP in mine and had to add what looked like a ton of lead to get it on the CG, but the plane really handled the nose weight well.

The Merc. is probably too much turbine for the...

RE: Reaction ARF - PST/BTE All-Composite Sport Jet

Received mine from U2Fast (Barry) last weekend.

Absolutely some of the very best workmanship I have ever seen, especially for what you get. VERY simple, but the Herex/epoxy lay-up and paint in...
