I didn't bother on mine and having flown it all year I don't think it would make a big difference. The flaps slow it right down to a hover in wind with the shortest run being 25feet from...

Joe,
I used silicon sealer taped down well on the edges, it gives you plenty of time to position and has not let go over 30+ flights.

Dave,
I have mine set as per using 30 degree flap for take off. Without is ok but just longer. Pic attached.
